In November 1969, No. 2 Petroleum Machinery Factory of the National Petroleum Industrial Ministry of China was established in Zheshan Town, Zhenping County, Henan Province. In December 1971, it was transferred to and administrated by the local government, and renamed Henan Province Nanyang Petroleum Machinery Factory. In December 1972, the Ministry of Fuel and Chemical Industry renamed it No. 2 Petroleum Machinery Factory of the Ministry of Fuel and Chemical Industry. In March 1975, it was renamed No. 2 Petroleum Machinery Factory of the National Petroleum Industrial Ministry of China. In February 1976, it began to construct a new factory in Nanyang City. In April 1978, it was renamed No. 2 Petroleum Machinery Factory of the Ministry of Petroleum. In December 1988, it changed its name to No. 2 Petroleum Machinery Factory of China National Petroleum Corporation. In 1989, it basically completed the relocation from Zheshan in Zhenping to Nanyang City. In January 1992, it was renamed Nanyang Petroleum Machinery Factory and directly administrated by Henan Petroleum Exploration Bureau. On June 26, 2004, Nanyang Petroleum Machinery Factory was reorganized into RG Petro-Machinery (Group) Co., Ltd,On Jan 18th,2016,it was renamed as RG Petro-Machinery Group Co., Ltd.
